Description

Functions

·      Investigate incidents, accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, ensuring root cause analysis, implementation of corrective actions, and maintenance of the corresponding records.

·      Monitor compliance with applicable Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, as well as corporate standards and customer requirements.

·      Prepare, analyze, and present EHS indicators (KPIs) related to accident rates, safety observations, inspections, training, corrective action compliance, and environmental management.

·      Coordinate and execute training programs on Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment, safe handling of chemical products, emergency response, and proper use of personal protective equipment.

·      Implement and maintain the procedures, programs, and controls required to ensure a safe and healthy work environment in storage, distribution, and value-added services operations.

·      Conduct periodic occupational, environmental, and operational risk assessments and inspections, proposing preventive and corrective actions to minimize risks.

·      Coordinate the implementation and maintenance of management systems based on ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, as well as other applicable corporate standards.

·      Manage and follow up on internal audits, customer audits, and external audits, ensuring the timely closure of findings and action plans.

·      Manage and keep Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for stored products up to date and ensure compliance with the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) requirements.

·      Verify the safe storage of chemical products, including segregation, compatibility, labeling, secondary containment, and required operational controls.

·      Coordinate the response to chemical spills, environmental incidents, and emergency situations, ensuring the availability and proper use of response equipment.

·      Monitor the operation of fire protection systems, emergency equipment, evacuation routes, and emergency response plans.

·      Ensure that employees, visitors, contractors, and transporters comply with safety standards and properly use the required personal protective equipment.

·      Manage the inventory and availability of personal protective equipment, emergency response equipment, and first aid supplies.

·      Coordinate EHS induction and training programs for new employees, contractors, and service providers.

·      Manage sustainability and environmental programs, including EcoVadis, SMETA, waste management, recycling, and compliance with corporate environmental objectives.

·      Monitor hazardous and non-hazardous waste management, ensuring legal compliance and proper disposal.

·      Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, environment, housekeeping (5S), and preventive culture.

·      Participate in the investigation of customer complaints related to safety, health, or environmental aspects and coordinate the required actions.

·      Keep procedures, records, risk matrices, environmental assessments, and other EHS management system documentation up to date.

·      Identify, report, and follow up on deviations, non-compliances, and improvement opportunities related to Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental management systems.


Requirements

Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering student, or related fields.

Internal Auditor ISO 14001, ISO 45001

1 to 2 years of experience in similar roles (preferred)

Analytical skills

Experience in warehouses or logistics.

Experience with chemical products. .

Microsoft Office (intermediate)

Handling of hazardous materials.

Fire extinguisher handling.
